History made in California!

Yesterday, history was made in California on the Container-based Eco-sanitation Dry Compost Toilet front.

My colleague Alisa Keesey and her colleague Ryan Smith posted this up in the LinkedIn matrix yesterday. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7462606705785229312/

I am pleased to announce the completion of the first Container-based Sanitation pilot in the State of California. We have an invisible waste crisis that reveals how the high cost of enhanced septic systems impacts affordable housing. And we know water scarcity is on the horizon. Thank you to Ryan Smith for your incalculable contribution to this path breaking project. As the co-founders of Design4Earth we look forward to working in Mendocino County and other water stressed regions in the United States.

Ryan also shared this:

Aside: These past several months, I have been working on a nascent design and patent for leachate collection system for use in the built environment. I will be submitting this design to IAPMO WE-Stand for future consideration and inclusion into their future best-practices directives.
