Tell us about yourself: What do you care about? What do you want to do? 

I care about quality, about excellence. I enjoy being part of creating things of value that are done well, helping people understand, learn, and grow, and developing and refining procedures and protocols to optimize efficiency without compromising quality. I want to be part of something that makes people’s lives better.

 

What’s the best thing you’ve ever done?

I’ve raised a daughter who is healthy and happy and therefore successful. As she was growing up, sometimes I guided her, and sometimes I gave her the freedom to guide herself. Whenever she talked about her problems, I would ask her, “Do you want me to just listen, or do you want advice?” Now, she asks me that question.

 

What three things do you need to be happy at work?

Authority commensurate with responsibility, and trust and respect.

 

What kind of work community do you thrive in?

I work best in a flat organization with a diverse array of collaborative colleagues in an informal environment designed for humans.
