Tell us about yourself: What do you care about? What do you want to do? 

As the Dutch say, I am a ruimdenker, a forward-thinker, a spacious thinker with a lot of ideas. I worry about politics and social issues, and their effect on sustainable quality of life matters. I am a renewable energy engineering evangelist who would like to create opportunities for all citizenry of Space Ship Earth to have access to renewable energy systems technologies. I aim to design, engineer, offer and implement robust, resilient, redundant systems technologies, so the progeny of the future will have a chance at a decent quality of life.

 

What’s the best thing you’ve ever done?

What I am doing here in this Meet-n-GreetUp matrix—collaborating with a team of cohorts to come up with a schema that disrupts the way people network and collaborate to find meaningful work. A schema that enables them to be passionate AND sustainable at what they enjoy doing. 

 

What three things do you need to be happy at work?

I prefer a role that allows for traversing unknown territory, where  innovative thinking and originality, rather than just implementing and executing the ideas of others is paramount. I like to work for people who value in involvement in the development or improvement of processes or products that employ 'out thinking the box.' Deep Roast Trimethylxanthine. 

 

What kind of work community do you thrive in?

I thrive in environments where I can get things accomplished on my own without lots of meetings. Having opportunities to collaborate, build trust and maintain lasting relationships is paramount. Working with people who understand what scrappy means, relish trouble-shooting and thinking on one's feet.
